Directory Submissions Through The Entrecard Store

January 17th, 2008 by Mack

entrecardA few weeks ago I wrote an entry for the Entrecard Seller Contest.  It gives a limited few options to sell things from their website for Entrecard points.  Anyway I won one of those lucky spots and now offer permanent directory submissions for only 300 ec points.  Once you have signed up for an Entrecard account and earned 300 ec points, you can visit the Entrecard shop to purchase.   You can earn 300 points in just a few hours or less.

Sorry for the belated post and lack there of, but I just started a new job.  Anyway, enjoy the nearly free directory submissions and have a great day.

Interview With Kina Grannis About The "Gotta Digg" Song

January 7th, 2008 by Mack

badge_kinna_grannis Just the other day I asked Kina Grannis for an interview about her recent viral marketing piece “Gotta Digg” which hit the front page of Digg in 72 minutes and has received 6575 votes total.  Her video was published on two weeks for kina  and Youtube to promote her entry for the Crash the Super Bowl contest.  Congratulations to Kina for making the top 3 finalist.

It really sparked my SEO/SEM interest because of the overwhelming popularity it received.   Using an equal medium like a social network to gain popularity through a contest or such is just marketing genius in my opinion.

On a further note, I would like to thank Kina for taking the time to respond.  We had a little trouble getting our schedules together, but we were able to finally collaborate on some questions.  I personally am not a Myspace fan, but I signed up so I could vote for her everyday..

Inspiration From An Unusual Idea And Thoughts On Improving RSS Conversions Through Social Networks

December 31st, 2007 by Mack

4972 Today while browsing Entrecard and clicking on a few links, I noticed Sam Freedom’s profile link referenced to a search on his site about all his “Entrecard Post“.  At first it appeared to me as an odd thing to do, but then I realized it might create great conversions for either RSS or PPC advertising.  Let’s expand the concept to other social networks like Stumbleupon or Digg.  If you have ever blogged about a particular network, you could link your social profile to a relative search on your blog.  The idea here is that it will immediately spark the interest of those involved in that network and they might subscribe to your site.  Even if they don’t, they find related content to something you know they are interested in.  As far as PPC (Pay Per Click), you can use that tactic to make sure your users are landing on a page that is most desired.  A usual blog search reveals all the entries you have related to a topic based on the searcher’s keywords.  You could use it to gain exposure on any topic you are tying to dominate.  It is a great idea and I hope it is useful in the future.

Earn Entrecard Seller Status With A Little Creativity

December 28th, 2007 by Mack

entrecard Entrecard is offering seller status to six lucky webmasters.  Seller status would allow Entrecard users to exchange their credits for purchases that usually cost real money.  In reality you could sell anything with a little creative thinking.  It would be a great opportunity to gain social exposure and increase your branding strength through Entrecard.  To earn one of the entrecard seller status spots you must follow a set of entry rules and it requires a little work on your part. I came up with my own creative idea for my entry and I hope it is a great example for everyone else.
