Watching TV Series Online
September 7th, 2008 by Mack
I spent the majority of this weekend hanging out with friends and catching up on my favorite TV shows since I canceled my DirectTV a while back. I rarely watch much TV, but their are a few shows I like and seems like I never get time to watch them. So, watching online is great and their seem to be less commercials. Most of the major networks are broadcasting via the web these days and it makes letting your satellite go much easier. Yeah, I know TiVo exist.
Some Great Sites to Watch TV online
Hulu.com - They have some great stuff, but I found a few instances where they were missing episodes and some where they were missing complete seasons.
Hulu brings together a large selection of videos from more than 90 content providers, including FOX, NBC Universal, MGM, Sony Pictures Television, Warner Bros. and more. Users can choose from more than 850 current primetime TV hits such as The Simpsons, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Office the morning after they air, classics like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The A Team, Airwolf and Married…with Children, movies like Men in Black, Ghostbusters, and The Karate Kid, and clips from Saturday Night Live, Friends and other popular TV shows and movies.
USA Network - I like quite a few shows from the USA network. So was a good resource for me and I have no complaints about their promptness to air recent episodes of my favorite shows.
I will not list the rest of the major networks like ABC, NBC, etc, etc, but most of them offer web episodes and it is very convenient if you don’t have a TV.
Watch FootBall or Other Sports Online
This is a tricky one. I been trying to research some solid resources for this, but have really came up with nothing. I was curious if anyone had any experiences they would like to share or online software / resources for watching sports online.
My Favorite TV Shows
Some of my favorite TV shows are
Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FX)
I might have a few I forgot to mention, but that and football about sums it up.
