Yahoo Site Explorer Measuring Quality instead of Quantity?
October 9th, 2007 by MackIs Yahoo Site Explorer measuring links authority in a new way? During the recent backlink update from Yahoo tons of sites have dropped thousands of links. SEOmoz is reported to lost over 1 million links. In my short history of being a webmaster this is the first time I have seen this happen. I am a real stats buff so I am constantly watching to see positive or negative changes and the level of effectiveness they have had. This is really going to throw me off for awhile.
At one time I was reaching the bounds of 13,000. Over the last week I watched my numbers on Lobo Links bounce from 600 to 6,000. Is this just a flux or is it something permanent we need to get used too?
Has this affected your site? Have you noticed?
Update (10-14-07) Looks like everything is starting to settle back in. Search Engine RoundTable offered a tip to find all your links in site explorer.
