20 High Page Rank Article Directories

Besides submitting links to top search engine friendly web directories such as the one offered by Lobo Links, submitting an article to an article directory can also be quite beneficial.

Most bloggers and website owners often neglect article submission to article directories. This is because most of article directories have strict rules on words per article, proper English, unique content and morehandtyping. Article directories offer a lot of benefits for your website. Getting a dofollow backlink from a high traffic site might be very costly. Let’s say you are willing to pay a three or four  figure amount  to get a backlink from a highly trafficked site. The link you purchased will be nofollow. Google place strict rules against dofollow links. Selling links with passing dofollow weight will face heavy penalty from Google. In most cases, Google will slash the page rank to ZERO.

There are limited ways to get dofollow backlink from high traffic and high page rank sites. Article submission is one of the most successful way to draw traffic, get dofollow backlinks and increase your search engine optimization (SEO). It is cost effective, as you don’t have to spend a penny to do this. Here is the list of top 25 article directories from page rank 4 to 8 with it’s Alexa ranking:

You will see the result of your effort in just few weeks time or the latest within 3 months on your page rank update. Targeting proper keywords is the best choice. Don’t always go for highly searched or common keywords. For article creation, try it with some specified keywords with 2% – 5% keyword density as recommended by many SEO experts. Also, install Google Analytics (http://www.google.com/analytics/) to your blog or website to monitor traffic and popular pages for your visitors. If you want to know whether SEO is working for you or not, check search engine referred traffic numbers. The more traffic referred, the better.

This is valuable info! I did not realize how beneficial article submission could be for a blogger. What I do not understand is the donotfollow concept. Do you have any posting you can refer me too? Thank for posting this information. I am sure many blogger and new bloggers with find it helpful :)

What about duplicate content penalty? Is this going to be a problem if you are submitting an article to multiple directories?

This is the type of list I’ve been looking for because not all article directories give great PR benefits as so widely believed. Of course,my other alternative is to just search Google for MYKEYWORD+EZINE+NEWSLETTER to specifically find only ezine publishers who need articles on a daily basis to put content in their ezines.

Laura: “do-follow” means that Google will index your particular site/link so it can be easily found within their search results -and who doesn’t want to be found in Google?

“No-follow” is the opposite…although Google’s technology will crawl/search your link/site they willNOT index it which makes it that more difficult for everyday web surfers to find you.

There’s a post on this at Blog Traffic For Free so read it along with the comments for the this one as well as on the posts thereafter…hope this helps :!:

Great list. Thanks for posting it. I have submitted about a dozen articles and found ezinearticles.com to be best. There are a few on your list I haven’t tried. Thanks again.

Thanks, I have been looking a list like this. I had been thinking all along that Ezinearticles is where it’s at. At least its 3rd.

the duplicate content penalty is only a problem if the dupe content is on the same domain. Otherwise, well there is no problem. Hope this helps.

Good advice. Unfortunately my blog still has no pagerank after this latest update. I thought this time it would get at least a pagerank of 2. Oh well maybe next time. It is gaining more and more banklinks and visitors.

This is a great piece of information for anyone interested in Article Marketing. Here, I just want to point one thing.

I have checked the IP addresses of all the 20 article directories and found out that http://www.articlealley.com/ and http://www.a1articles.com/ have the IP addresses 208.78.42.235 and 208.78.42.236 respectively, that is, they share the same 208.78.42 C Class IP.

It is widely believed by SEO experts that Google tend to see sites on the same c class as having a “relation” with each other and thus treat them differently. It is quite possible that multiple links from sites on the same class C IP range are not given full weight. So, in my opinion, if anyone is concerned about getting incoming links from different C Class IPs then s/he should be choosing either articlealley.com or a1articles.com, but not both.
