Free Links, the trade off begins!
September 30th, 2008
As a web designer or developer you run into the obvious advantages regarding SEO/SEM that most do not. That being said, there is an easy way to approach a situation where linking to you might be cheaper than paying you.
In the circle of design, it is no well kept secret. You have seen designers linking to their website for years.
“Design by Lobo Links”
On and on, but truthfully it is an easy way to score a free link in moderation. For instance, let’s say you have a service to offer and instead of paying a $600 bill the client would like to add your link for free. You could be a sponsor or just have some text in the footer. Opportunities like this can be options for you to further your business in almost any web related market. Remember, it is not your choice, but a decision left to the client. Consider this another option to work it off in trade, no matter what you service may be.
I will end it here, snicker!!
